NETS Standards
The NET Standards are very important today. One area I would like to work on improving in our school are the ethics involved in using technology. Specifically teaching students how to make wise choices for what they put out on social networks. Trying to make them realize how broad the impact can be for things they don't think through before publishing. Another area I would like to increase the students awareness of is plagiarizing materials. They truly don't seem to understand it is unethical to steal someones words. The student NET standards my thoughts are related to are 5a,b,c&d Digital Citizenship and 6a,b&d Technology Operations and Concepts.

I agree and think that this also needs to start at a very young age, as younger and younger children are using technology. We could teach this stuff for weeks and weeks. . . where do we begin?
